Reincarnation or Eternal Reoccurrence

Eternal Reoccurrence or Reincarnation

If you work with Astrology it seems clear that one must consider the question of repeated lives, reincarnation or reoccurrence. When we examine our natal charts, they seems to fit each individual so well, almost shouting out the idea that our very entrance into this reality was a matter of time, perfect time actually.

If you read my Cosmology article you will know that I present an approach to the idea of reoccurrence that is not encumbered with a lot of traditional religious ideas. I am not opposed to religious ideas, simple as I have conceptualized the concept, religion as we understand it is not a necessary big element. Regarding karma, I can see how Karma seems to be a working process during each life time, but I don’t buy the idea of Karma transferring from one life to the next. I believe that the process of returning to the “collective”, reduced to our most basic energetic form, removes any residual elements from our time in physical form. The process of “passing over” itself is sufficient to remove any unwanted human traits.

I can understand that people would wish that an individual that conducted his/her life in the most miserable, evil manner should be punished. And to that end ideas of hell and karma address such punishment. We, the human family were brutally punished by the evil activity of those persons. We desire restitution and retribution. But in real terms, the best restitution would be for us the human family to establish a caring system of raising our off-springs in such a way that evil despots are creatures of the past.

Limitation to New Experiences

I suspect that we, collectively as social groups, create much of our religious believes to fill in the gaps in our understandings. It helps to have a plan in place to understand the world we live in. I don’t consider this to necessarily be problematic, but a part of our experience that must be understood, to understand that our religions are not necessarily arrived at in an objective manner. Most people have had experiences in life that just don’t fit a mechanistic, predictable world model. These wonderful contacts with spirit can be life changing, but seem to arrive without a clear set of instructions. And I believe often people immediately propel those types of experiences into the framework of beliefs that they have constructed within the organization of their mind. A framework of ideas absorbed from prior religious and social indoctrination. Thus with an established belief system in place, most supernatural or spirit type experiences are immediately placed within that established mental framework. Occasionally someone has an experience that just doesn’t fit, like an alien contact for example, and in those cases, needless to say, because the experience doesn’t fit the established system, the individual is thrown off balance.

One of our problems is that as we age we tend to insulate ourselves. Just as trees grow bark, we seem to thicken our “skin” to allow some of the hurt and hits to bounce off. I suppose this is necessary in many ways, but it also seems to isolate us from tender moments and being as connected and conscious of the world about us. We become less adaptable, and less willing to adjust to necessary change. For example, some older people have learned to use personal computers, but another set of seniors decided to learn. I can understand their reasoning, but it is also sad that they denied themselves the opportunity to learn something new, to become current in technology, and the loss of all the information availability from the internet. In the same light, many people, especially older individuals, have a difficult time absorbing unusual spiritual experiences, or life experiences that do not easily fit their mind.

As insulated beings, in so many, many ways we limit the possibility to fully experience so many wonderful events. Although many people are open to the idea of Astrology, many dismiss the possibility that Astrology can be a transformational resource for personal development. This is also true with many other resources. My view is to at least listen, because if perhaps one listens carefully, one may discover a new light for the dark and demanding world in which they live.

This discussion of course raises the question, why reoccur, or return to a human form on the earth? I would suggest that we act as a data collecting organisms for the collective. Our experiences are added to the pool of all experiences had by the collective. This pool of experience, like a computer model of earth reality that is just outside total direct experience, allows the collective to continue to modify the energetic framework necessary to maintain and change the planetary condition.

Our Memory

When in the collective, because our nature is more energy rather than matter, our memory is held collectively and with a utility that operates as an energetic pool or depository of memories and experiences. As an energetic organism, my total memory is vast, including my own events but also the events of everyone in the collective. When we leave the collective to participate in the physical life of the earth (or any planet), we can not take our memory from the collective pool. We can only take certain resources that might allow us to some connection with the collective, certain energetic structures or powers like the power of intent, and I suppose a set of preferences to work towards. Those preferences are defined within the horoscope. So although we are in a state that is highly treasured, incarnate, and although that state allows sensual experiences that are not possible in an energetic form, we are also limited in knowledge and communication. However, I suspect that one of the goals of the collective is the continued evolution of psychic functions. In time humans will have the ability to communicate and draw knowledge from the collective repository as is experienced in spirit or energetic form.
This may be a creative, imaginative essay. But I believe there is some logic to these suppositions.

The Future

I will continue this discussion in the near future. To bring this to a close, the question that comes to mind is where do these ideas lead to? What value can be gained from these view points. The answer will involve discussion of the purpose of the collective, future developments, and possible personal benefits from adopting these ideas.
